Rachel Gildiner is the Executive Director of GatherDC, an innovative community-based startup that connects Jewish 20s & 30s to each other, to Jewish life across DC, and to sustained adult Jewish identities, wherever they go in life. With over fifteen years of professional experience in non-profit management, emerging adult identity development, and relationship-based engagement, Rachel builds community through the power of personal connection.
Rachel has a BA in Sociology from Columbia University, a BA in Modern Jewish Studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary (List College), an MA in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University, and a Certificate in Experiential Jewish Education from Yeshiva University. She has studied at Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies and is trained as an Ayeka: Soulful Jewish Education facilitator. Rachel lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband and three children. She enjoys dancing, reading, hiking and attending concerts and dance performances.
