Avital Ingber is the President and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. Prior to assuming this role, she spent close to 13 years building community and enhancing Jewish life in Greater Washington and is a nationally recognized change agent in the Federation system and beyond. She has helped to shape Jewish identities for thousands, from teens to seniors, as they further ignite their passions for Jewish community locally, in Israel and around the world.
Avital was a part of the senior management team of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington serving as both the Chief Development Officer and Managing Director of Federation’s United Jewish Endowment Fund. There, she oversaw the strategic
procurement of all philanthropic resources for the organization. Avital also served as the managing director of Financial Resource Development and as Director of Young Leadership. She is known for creating cutting-edge and nationally replicated programming, partnerships and engagement tools.
Avital is nationally recognized as an innovative community leader and change agent for Jewish life. She has a love for Israel and has brought more than 700 people on trips to Israel. Avital is active in the national Federation system has served as the Chair of the Large City Chief Development Officer Group. Avital received her Executive Masters in Leadership from the Georgetown School of Business and her B.A. from the Kogod School of Business at American University. Avital lives in Houston, Texas. She loves to travel and visits at least one new country every year.
